Common Name The Median Thelymitra - The Tall Sun Orchid
Flower Size .6 to 1.4" [1.5 to 3.5 cm]
Found in New South Wales and Victoria Australia at elevations of 200 to 800 meters in wet sclerophyll forests with heathy or densely shrubby understory as a medium to giant sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 1 to 3 leaf-like stem bracts and a single, linear to lanceolate, channeled, mostly thick and coriaceous, strongly ribbed leaf that blooms in the spring and early summer on an erect, 12 to 40" [30 to 100 cm] long, 7 to 30 flowered inflorescence.
