Common Name The Few Flowered Thelymitra - The Slender Sun Orchid

Flower Size 3/8 to 3/4" [1 to 2 cm]

Found in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania in open woodlands and heathlands at elevations of sea level to 1000 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with an eleongate stem carrying a single, apical, narrow, linear to lanceolate, channeled above, fleshy leaf and blooms on a erect, termianl, to 20" [50 cm] long, 1 to 5, successively flowered inflorescence with bright blue, rarely pink or white flowers occuring in the spring .
