Common Name The Tiger-Like Striped Thelymitra - The Tiger Sun Orchid
Flower Size .4 to .66" [1 to 1.6 cm]
Found in Western Australia at elevations of sea level to 200 meters in near coastal swamps among sedges and rushes as a small to large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with a very slender stem carrying a very narrow, channeled leaf that blooms in the spring and early summer in nature on an erect, 6 to 28" [15 to 70 cm] long, 2 to 15 flowered inflorescence with often cupped flowers.
