Common Name The York Thelymitra - In Australia The Bronze Sun Orchid

Flower Size 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm]

Found in southwest Western Australia at elevations of 200 to 300 meters in rocky sites in well drained sand or soil as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, broad leaf that blooms in the later spring on an erect, 8 to 14" [20 to 35 cm] long, 2 to 12 flowered inflorescence with several small bracts and carrying cinnamon scented flowers.
