Common Name The Papua Thelymitra

Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

A medium to just large sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial found in Papua and New Guinea in montane to sub alpine, often peaty grasslands, roadsides, tree fern grasslands and on ultramafic rocks at elevations of 1700 to 4200 meters with an obovoid tuber giving rise to a stem carrying 1 to rarely 2, erect, narrowly linear, acute-acuminate leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on an erect, glabrous, racemose, 6.8 to 18.4" [17 to 46 cm] long, several [1 to 11] flowered inflorescence.
