Found in Sumatra and Java in forests near sea level as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a thin stem carrying strap-shaped, obliquely and broadly bilobed apically, rouned, scarcely clasping the stem basally, pale green, inconspicuously and minutely spotted with dull violet leaves that blooms in the fall on a thin, thickening apically, pale green spotted dull purple higher up, 4.4 to 6.4" [11 to 16 cm] long, rachis to .6" [1.5 cm] long, thicker, successively few, many flowered inflorescence with facing in all directions, triangular basally,scarsely clasping the rachis, long-acuminate, very acute floral bracts carrying ephemeral, sweetly scented flowers.
