Common Name The Short Seed Capsule Thrixspermum

Found in penninsular Malaysia in wet montane forests on small branches as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte at elevations around 2000 meters with a many leaved stem carrying very fleshy, purple spotted on both sufaces, narrowing gradually into the acute, bilobed apex leaves that blooms in the summer on a pale green, 1.6 to 3.2" [4 to 8 cm] long, successively 1 to 2, to 20 flowered inflorescence with a swollen cylindrical rachis and with tiny triangular bracts.
The most significant difference between this species is and T duplocallosum other than the plant forms is that this species has a clawed, non-saccate lip base, while T duplocallosum has a triangular, large erect cone-like structure.
