Common Name Graeff's Thrixspermum [Plant Collector in Samoa 1800's]

Found in New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Vanuatu and Samoa in montane forests at elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short, densely leafy stem carrying 3 to 5, ligulate, obliquely subacute, Somewhat fleshy leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on a very slender, 4 to 5.2" [10 t o13 cm] long, rather stiff inflorecence with saw-like bracts and conduplicate, falcate-ovate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
