Found in Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Malasia and Sumatra at elevations around 1500 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a monopodial stem carrying several, linear, lorate, obtusely and unevenly bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on a longer than the leaves, 7.2" [18 cm] long, successively many flowered inflorescence completely enveloped by distichous, imbricate, acute, triangular, conduplicate bracts from which a single large, flower arises
