Found in west Sumatra at elevations around 1600 to 1700 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a climbing, rooting all along, oval in cross-section stem carrying fleshy, strap shaped, unequally bilobed apically, narrowing towards the base leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, peduncle terete, robust, 10 to 14" [25 to 35 cm] long, rachis thickened, .6 to 1.2" [1.5 to 3 cm] long, close-set, successively single, many flowered inflorescence carrying unpleasantly scented flowers.
