Common Name or Meaning The Hanging Thrixspermum - In China Chui Zhi Bai Dian Lan

Found in Taiwan, Thailand, Java, Sumatra and Borneo in lowland forests on tree trunks at elevations of 500 to 600 meters as a medium to large sized, warm, pendent growing epiphyte with a pendulous, compressed, leafy throughout stem carrying elliptic, thick, slightly fleshy, conduplicate towards the base, acute leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on an axillary, .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long, much shorter than the leaves, successively few, several flowered, inflorescence with persistent, not distichous, ovate-triangular floral bracts and carrying short lived flowers
