Found in Sabah Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations around 1500 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a simple to branching stem carrying narrowly elliptic, thickly coriaceous, obtuse, dorsally shortly carinate-apiculate leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect, peduncle 2.52" [6.3 cm] long, pale green flushed with purple, bracts adpressed tothe peduncle, rachis .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm] long, pale green, 3.4" [8.5 cm] long overall, successively 1 to 2, several flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate flowers
