Common Name The Elongate Thrixspermum

Flower Size 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm]

This small to just medium sized, hot growing epiphytic species of the Dendrocolla section is found in the Philippines at elevations of sea level to 525 meters with elongate, rigid stems enveloped by persisitent leaf sheaths carrying 2 ranked, leathery, oblong-elliptic, slightly bilobed apically leaves that are slightly erect and are adpressed at both ends and has a 4.4" [11 cm] long, axillary, heavily zigzaged, winged rachis with a solitary, short-lived [1 day] flower occuring in the late summer, fall and winter.
