Common Name Joseph's Tipularia - in China Duan Bing Hung Ju Lan
Flower Size .2 to .32" [5 to 8mm]
Found in Nepal, northeastern India, Myanmar and Xizang province of China at elevations of 2800 to 4000 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with subglobose pseduobulbs giving rise to a single, broadly ovate, acute, plicate, 5 to 7 veined, undulate margined, rounded basally, abruptly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring and early summer on an erect, peduncle 2.4 to 9.2" [6 to 23 cm] long, rachis 2 to 6" [5 to 15 cm] long, laxly 12 to 28 flowered inflorescence with broadly triangular floral bracts
