Common Name The Sphere Shaped Traunsteinera

Found in the Caucasus region of the former Soviet Union and Turkey in the sub alpine zone at elevations of 1000 to 3000 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 2 basal sheaths and 2 to 3 leaves that blooms on an erect, many flowered inflorescence with the flowers held in an apical corymb.
