Found in Costa Rica in wet montane forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growoing epiphyte with insignificant, small pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, suberect, obliquely ligulate, subacute, narrowly shortly, subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a basal, peduncle with a few basal sheaths, erect-patent to patent, single flowered inflorescence with ovate, shortly acuminate, half as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying thin, glabrous flowers
