Found from Costa Rica on mossy trunks and small branches in deep shade in evergreen forests at elevations around 600 to 750 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with minute, rounded pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, dark green, fleshy, sessile, linear elliptic to elliptic, obtuse to acute leaf that blooms in the fall on a pendant, racemose, 2.8" [7 cm] long, fractiflex, 1 to 7 successively single flowered inflorescence
