Found in Costa Rica in submontane, evergreen tropical rainforests on the Atlantic slopes on shady moss-covered branches often overhanging water at elevations of 400 to 1250 meters as a small sized, [has 8" leaves that longest in the genus], hot to warm, pendant growing, caespitose epiphyte with that blooms in the summer on a successively many flowered inflorescence
