Found in Pastaza province of Ecuador at elevations around 1450 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 4, microscopically ciliate, lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coricaeous, narrowly elliptical, acute, contracted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring on a loose, arising from near the apex of the ramicaul distichous, flexuous, filiform, .8" [2 cm] long including the to .2" [5 mm] long peduncle, simultaneously 5 to 6 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
