Found in Azuay province of Ecuador as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with an ascending, terete rhizome giving rise to ovoid, apically triangular apiculiform pseudopbulbs enveloped by leaf sheath bases carrying erect-patent, fleshy, ligulate to narrowly ligulate, acute leaves that blooms in the fall on a basal, erct, thin, peduncle distantly few bracted, 3.8" [9 cm] long, glabrous, sub-laxly 3 to 4 flowered infloresccence with erect-patent, acuminate floral bracts.
