Found in Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaya, Java, the Andaman Islands and the Nicobar Islands in primary and secondary broad-leaved evergreen forests preferably on rocky limestone at elevations of 200 to 1200 meters as a epiphyte that blooms in the late winter through summer
