Found only in Borneo in lower montane forests, mixed dipterocarpforests, oak/laurel forests, open pdodzol forests, open mossy ridge forests with bamboos and rattans at elevations around 600 to 2000 meters as a giant sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect stems carrying linear, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the fall on short, few to several flowered inflorescence
