Common Name The Ferocious-Looking Trichotosia
Flower Size 3/4" [1.85 cm]
Found in peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Sumatra and Java in exposed places in humid mountains at elevations of 820 to 1900 meters as a giant sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte or terrestrial with pendulous, terete, leafy throughout stems carrying oblong-lanceolate, acuminate leaves covered with light brown hairs and blooms on limply pendulous, 4" [10 cm] long, pilose inflorescence with several flowers that arise in the summer in situ.
