Found in Venezuela and Guyana in light forests at elevations around 1700 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect, filiform ramicauls enveloped by farily tight, tubular sheaths with dilated ostia with ciliate margins, carrying a single, apical, fleshy, somewhat variable in narrowness, orbicular to elliptic to narrowly ovate, contracted below into the base leaf that blooms from the base of the lamina of the leaf, peduncle filiform, 1" long overall, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence.
