Found in Costa Rica as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with an oblong to narrowly ovate, compressed, slight shouldered pseduobulb carrying a single apical, ovate-oblong to oblong, obtuse to abruptly apiculate, shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a .6 to 1.12" [1.5 to 2.8 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence
