Found in Peru in high sierra on open rocky and brushy slopes in exopsed and sunny locations at elevations of 2600 to 3500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold to cool growing lithophyte or terrestrial with a woody stem with one to 2, leaf bearing sheaths and carrying ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single apiocal, erect, narrowly elliptical, acute, conduplicate towards the base leaf that blooms in the summer and fall on an axillary, short successively 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence
