Found in Zaire, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda in undergrowth of montane forests at elevations of 1770 to 2500 meters as a miniature to large sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with curved and rarely branched stems in tufts carrying linear, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring on a [4 to 5 mm] long, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence
