Found in Peru in wet montane forests at elevations around 1150 meters as a small szied, warm growing epiphyte with elliptic-pyriform, complanate, sulcate-ridged pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 4, oblong-ovate, subacute, becoming conduplicate below intot he short, petiolate base leaves that blooms int he summer on several, erect, 6.8" [to 17 cm] long, single flwoered inflorescence enveloped completely by several, tubular, subinflated bracts and has subsimilar, subequal to the ovary length floral bracts and has a campanulate flower
