Found in WC Florida at low elevations as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial or occasional lithophyte with a subterranean corm giving rise to an erect, purplish, succulent stem carrying 1 to 4, dark green above, deep purple beneath, margins undulate, broadly ovate to cordate leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, racemose, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence
