Found in New Guinea at elevations around 100 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with filiform, elongate, flexuous, glabrous roots gibving rise to an erect, thinly flexuous stem carrying usually towards the apex, linear to linear-lanceolate, acuminate, upper smaller leaves that blooms in the early summer on an erect, short, terminal, densly several flowered inflorescence with linear-subulate, longer than the lower flowers, shorter than the upper flowers floral bracts and carrying small, sulphur yellow flowers
