Found in New Guinea at elevations around 20 to 100 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, hot growing terrestrial with a few branched, short, erect rhizome giving rise to a leafy stem carrying 4 to 8, patent, elliptic, acuminate, plicate, many nerved leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on an erect to arcuate, to 1.2" [3 cm] long, distichous, to 20 flowered inflorescence with two sided, conduplicate, patent to divaricate, broadly ovate, acuminate, longer than the ovary floral bracts.
Schlechter states that the flowers are clearly white yellow.
