Found in the Moluccas and recently found in the Philippines in forests in deep shade at elevations around 600 to 1200 meters as a small sized, warm growing terrestrial with erect stems carrying 5 to 6, towards the apex, lanceolate, plicate, thin textured leaves that blooms in the later spring on a spreading, from near the apex, to 4" [10 cm] long, enveloped by alternating, imbricate, conduplicate, crisped margined bracts, successively single, many flowered inflorescence
