Found in Sulawesi, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Nuie, Cook Islands, Santa Cruz Islands and the Tubuai Islands on tree branches in forests at elevations of 500 to 1400 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 3 to 5, well separated, tough, leathery grey green leaves that blooms in the fall on a club-shaped, .5" [1.2 cm] long, successively 1 to 2, to 20 flowered inflorescence.
