Common Name The Beautiful Bearded Vanilla

Flower Size 1.6 to 1.8" [4 to 4.5 cm]

Found in northwestern Luzon Philippines in dry thickets and on trees in forests at low elevations as a large sized, hot growing climbing terrestrial with a terete stem without leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a short, 4 to 6 flowered inflorescence. This species is very closely related to V. aphylla and V. wightiana . However, it has slightly larger flowers and is endemic to Luzón.

CAUTION Kew cites this one as synomonous with V aphylla but there are many differences so I await better rerferences.
