Found in northern Vietnam in primary and old secondary evergreen, broad-leaved dry, rather open forests and scrub at elevations of 200 to 250 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with an erect to ascending, rigid, semi-woody, leafy in the upper half stem carrying distichous, sessile, equitant bases, dark green, conduplicate, very rigid, thick, recurved, linear, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the winter on an axillary, erect, rigid, green, terete, peduncle 1.6 to 3.2" [4 to 8 cm] long, naked or with 1 to 2 small, triangular-ovate sterile bracts, 2.4 to 6" [6 to 15 cm] long overall, rachis slightly zig-zag, curved, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence with broadly ovate, rounded apcially, densely adpressed tothe pedicel, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying wide open flowers
