Common Name Riva's Vanilla [Colombian Discoverer of the type current]

Found in Valle de Cauca department of Colombia at low elevations near the Pacific coast as a large to giant sized, hot growing viney terrestral with a thick dark green stem with 3.2 to 3.72" [8 to 9.3 cm] long internodes and carrying oblanceolate, acuminate, incurved apex, subobtuse base, basal margin revolute, subcoriaceous, pale green, centrally concave leaves that blooms in the winter, spring and summer on a terminal, sometimes lateral, shortly pedunculate, rachis pale green, congested, 4.8 yto 16" [12 to 40 cm] long, white dotted, successively 2 to 4, to 150 flowered inflorescence with pale green, basally alternate, distichous, ovate, concave floral bracts and carrying ephemeral, rose to clover scented flowers.
