Common Name The Venezuelan Vargasiella

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in Venezuela on steep rocky slopes beneath low thick brush and grass at elevations of 600 to 2000 meters as a small to giant sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with long, stout, terete, straggling stems that are leafy towards the apex and carrying thin, rather soft, linear, acute, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate petiolate base leaves that blooms on an axillary, to 8 to 12" [20 to 30 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence with short, fleshy floral bracts.
