Common Name The Rock Growing Veyretia

Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil as a small sized, terrestrial or lithophyte with a few thick roots giving rise to an erect stem enveloped by pubescent, tubular, acute close fitting sheaths and leaves that are not present at blooming, which occurs in the late winter and early spring on an erect, 3" [7.5 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceolate, long-acuminate, sparsely and longly pubesenct, slightly shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
