Found in the New Guinea at elevations around 1600 meters as a cool growing terrestrial with a decumbent, cauliform rhizome giving rise to a terete, glabrous, leafy in the upper half stem carrying 6 to 8, erect-patent, elliptic to lanceolate-elliptic, acute, glabrous, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, to 1.6" [4 cm] long, sublaxly 4 to 7 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, ciliate, as long as the ovary floral bracts.
