Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in the Chinese Himalayas, Assam, Taiwan and Japan in montane forests and bamboo grasslands as a small sized, cool growing, leafless terrestrial with a subterranean, branching, soft, fleshy, tuberculate rhizome giving rise in the summer to a terminal, from the end of the rhizome, erect, to 6" [to 15 cm] long, 3 to 6 flowered, inflorescence.
