Found in Malaysia and Indonesia at elevations of 245 to 750 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with a terete, creeping rhizome giving rise to an erect, terete, short stem carrying 3 to 6, obliquely ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate, acute, petiolate base leaves taht blooms in the winter on an erect, terminal, pubescent, 7.2 to 9.6" [18 to 24 cm] long overall, peduncle 6 to 6.4" [15 to 16 cm] long, with 1 to 2 sheathing bracts, rachis 1.4 to 3.2" [3.5 to 8 cm] long, sublax to subdensely many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acute, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying white, externally pubescent flowers
"This taxon has been mistaken for Zeuxine gracilis but may be distinguished from it by the shape of the column and placement of the stigma lobes. It is also closely related to Z. exilis but again differs from that in the profile of the column (gently curved dorsally in basal half vs. abruptly raised from the base), and the obliquely angled down (vs. horizontal) rostellum brachia."
