Found in the Chinese Himalayas, the eastern Himalayas, Thailand and Taiwan at elevations around 1000 to 1300 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with a succulent stem with a few, hyaline sheaths and carrying narrowly-ovate, acute, withering at blooming, shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, laxly to subdensely to 15 flowered inflorescence with reddish brown, ovate-lanceolate, margin ciliate, acuminate almost as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying resupinate flowes
