Found in Morona-Santiago province of Ecuador at elevations around 900 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicauls enveloped by 5 to 6, inflated, loose, tubualar sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a .4" [1 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising through an annulus near the apex of the ramicaul and has a tubular, acute floral bract.
