Found in Sao Paulo Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina in wet montane forests at lower elevations as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with minute, ovoid, lightly complanate pseudobulbs enveloped basally by a pair of leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying a single, lanceolate, acute, thin textured, gradully narrowing below into the conduplicate clasping base leaf that blooms in the later spring on a slender, terete, axillary, racemose, 1.2 to 1.6" [2 to 3 cm] long, successively 7 to 10 flowered inflorescence
