Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil in mpntane forest at elevations around 300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing, caespitose epiphyte with off-red, globular-pyriform pseudobulbs enveloped by transluscent, white sheaths and carrying a single, green, cylindric, acute, longitudinally sulcate, somewhat arched leaves that blooms in the summer on a basal, to [4.5 cm] long, rachis brown-red, filiform, rigid, racemose, erect, 8 flowered inflorescence with relatively smaller and decreasing in size towards the apex floral bracts carrying patent flowers, with the lip facing the inflorescence.
