Found in the Philippines on Mindanao Island in cloud forests on mossy trees at elevations around 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erect to pendent stem carrying 3 to 4, lanceolate, oblong-elliptic, thin, spreading, flattened, entirely glabbrous, margins entire, 3 veined on each side of the leaf, midvein adaxially depressed and abaxially raised, unequally bilobed, sessile bsae leaves that blooms in the winter on a short, axillary, pendent, branching, peduncle, short, terete, slender, glabrous, dark green, swollen in the upper portion, 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, rachis emerging from the base of the stem sheaths, entirely glabrous, 2" [5 cm] long, to 15 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, persistent, glabrous bracts and carrying small, membraneous, fleshy, minutely papillose, not opening widely flowers
