Common Name The Weak Agrostophyllum

Flower Size .28" [7 mm]

Found in penninsular Malaysia, Java, Sumatra and Borneo in wet open, lower montane forests at elevtions of 400 to 1000 meters as a medium to large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with clustered, erect, thin, stiff stems enveloped by imbricating leaf bearing sheaths carrying linear, narrower towards the apex, slightly and unequally bidentate apically, acute leaves that blooms in the winter on many in a terminal head each 1/2" [1.3cm] long inflorescence with 4 flowers and large sheaths

CAUTION Many sources put this species as a synonym of A javanica which has the same leaf shape and deep fold in the middle of the lip but differs in this one's scarcely lobed lip and 4 flowered inflorescence
