Common Name Theunissen's Appendicula
Flower Size .22" [5.5 mm] long
Found in western Sumatra without locational data as a small sized epiphyte with close set, non branched, thin, terete stems carrying spreading, slightly twisteed above the base, linear, narrowing apically, unequally bidentate with a spike in the middle leaves that blooms on terminal and axillary from the upper nodes, occasionally branched, peduncle to .36" [9 mm] long, .8" [2 cm] long ovarall, laxly many flowered inflorescence with reflexed, ovate, acute, concave, upper ones broader and smaller floral bracts and carrying flowers with transparent light green tepals, a white mentum with a little green, the lip white, the column light green with some purple around the stigma.
J J Smith states that this species resembles A rupestris but differs in the longer, linear leaves and especially in the shape of the lip which is described as being ecallose.
