Found in New Caledonia, Norfolk Is, Queensland and New South Wales Australia and New Zealand in highland rainforests in the upper branches of trees or on branches and rocks beneath them at elevations of 600 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphtye or lithophyte with crowded, furrowed and minutely warty pseduobulbs enveloped in youth by a white papery bract and carrying a single, apical, dark green, tough, oblong, obtuse leaf that blooms in the mid-winter through spring on a thread-like, minutely warty, .6 to 1.2" [1.5 to 3 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence
