SECTION Adelopetalum [Fitz] J.J. Verm. 1993

TYPE = Bulbophyllum bracteatum F M Bailey 1891

Characterized by having a creeping rhizome, an inflorescence with 2 or more flowers [other than B lillianae, lingulatum which have one], the basal node of the pedicel is above the attachment of the floral bract, stelida are present, a stigma that does not protrude from the face of the column and 2 or 4 pollina without a stipe

There are 8 species in this section confined to Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia occuring in lower montane forests at elevations up to 1800 meters. B corythium below may be a synonym of B argyropus and if so then the species count of 8 is correct.

Entries below with an asterix are listed in publications by J J Vermeullen and so are more likely correct than ones without. Species with a question mark in front, seem to me to not conform and so please use with caution. If a sectional name has a "`" in front then it is a complete section with all the known species represented.
